The brand is a major factor in a company’s success. Yet only through stringent brand management does a brand ultimately gain the strength to stand out from the competition. The shape that excellent brand work can take was exhibited by POC several years ago, in the form of its superbly designed ski helmets. Since then, the company has also begun, amongst other things, to offer helmets for cyclists. For this, it has from the outset consistently pursued a holistic brand strategy approach that extends deeply into the design of the products and uses striking, recurring design features – such as the wide straight ventilation slots – to make them immediately identifiable as helmets from the POC brand.
